We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on MS SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data base design, and must be proficient in leveraging Azure data services. Knowledge and hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines for data solutions is essential.

Key Responsibilities:•
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using MS SQL Server and Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database).
• Perform data modeling, create stored procedures, functions, views, and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Build and manage ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and integrate data from various sources.
• Implement CI/CD practices for data engineering using tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, and ARM templates or Terraform.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business users to deliver high-quality data solutions aligned with business needs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance and data quality issues in production environments.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Automate data validation, monitoring, and deployment processes.
• Document data pipelines, architecture, and technical workflows.

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role with a focus on MS SQL Server.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Services:

• Expertise in SQL development, performance tuning, and relational database design.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, and Git for version control.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI for automation is a plus.
• Experience in Cosmos DB is a plus.
• Understanding of data governance, data lineage, and metadata management.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:•
Microsoft certifications (e.g., DP-203: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
• Experience with real-time data processing frameworks (e.g., Azure Stream Analytics, Event Hubs) is a plus.
• Experience with Cosmos DB is a plus.
• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI is a bonus.
• Understanding of data privacy.
• Working experience / strong knowledge of Databricks
