About the Role:

The APIM Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting API-based integrations while ensuring the reliability and performance of the API management platform. This role combines API delivery, partner integration, and platform reliability to enable secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations across the enterprise.


Key Responsibilities:

API Integration Delivery (Primary Focus)

  • Design, develop, and support API-based integrations using REST, JSON, and web services within the AXWAY APIM Platform.
  • Configure, publish, and manage APIs within the AXWAY API Management platform.
  • Lead end-to-end API lifecycle management including design, versioning, deployment, and retirement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to define and implement integration solutions.
  • Ensure scalable, reusable, and high-quality API designs.
  • Support hybrid integration patterns across API and EDI/file-based workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement of API standards and governance practices.


Platform Reliability, Operations & Documentation

  •  Monitor and support API integration performance, availability, and health.
  •  Troubleshoot API failures and perform root cause analysis.
  •  Develop automation to improve deployment, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
  •  Maintain API documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
  •  Support onboarding of developers and partners.
  •  Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.


Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience with integration platforms (Axway APIM, B2Bi).
  •  Experience designing and supporting RESTful APIs and web services.
  •  Understanding of JSON, XML, and API lifecycle management.
  •  Experience with integration protocols such as HTTP, SFTP, and web services.
  •  Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, or shell).
  •  Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  •  Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Work Arrangements:

  • Remote opportunity
  • Contract for 6 months with potential extension based on performance
  • EST working hours required (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST)
