Cloud Security Engineer

Remote (India)

Contract/FTE

Timing – 4 PM to 1AM IST

Exp – 8 – 10 years

Role Overview: We are seeking a versatile professional who combines strong DevOps automation and cloud deployment skills with deep Python expertise and a proactive security-first mindset. The candidate will be responsible for building secure CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and developing robust Python scripts to embed security practices across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD & Security Integration Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security checks. Integrate security scanning tools (static code analysis, dependency scanning, container image scanning). Infrastructure Automation Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) with secure configurations. Automate and monitor AWS native security services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM, KMS, and WAF. Python Development & Automation Develop and maintain advanced Python scripts for automation and integration tasks. Utilize boto3 to interact with AWS services. Implement secure coding practices, including API validation and exception handling. Collaboration & Compliance Work closely with developers, operations, and security teams to ensure secure deployments. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to detect vulnerabilities and enforce compliance. Document automation processes, security controls, and remediation workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) with secure coding practices.
Hands-on experience with AWS services and automation using boto3.
Knowledge of API success validation and exception handling in automation scripts.
Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and their security implications.
Experience in integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
8–10 years of experience in DevOps, cloud security engineering, or Python automation.
