Job Role: Avionics System Test Engineer (FMS / DO-178)

Work Experience: 4 to 8 Years

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute system-level testing for FMS software and embedded avionics systems.
• Define system quality targets and monitor QA activities in collaboration with project leads.
• Conduct system milestone audits (CheckPoints) and track deviations and risks.
• Identify quality non-conformities and ensure resolution via Project Improvement Plans.
• Assess and report conformity with DO-178B/C standards and system development processes.
• Participate in Design Reviews (DR) / Technical Reviews (TR).
• Support internal and external audits, including OEM and supplier assessments.
• Ensure QRQC compliance and support problem-solving using PDCA, FTA, and LLC methods.
• Capture lessons learned and best practices to enhance process improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 4–8 years of experience in avionics system testing, FMS software, or embedded systems QA.
• Hands-on experience with System Testing / Verification & Validation (V&V).
• Knowledge of DO-178B/C standards.
• Experience in Flight Management Systems (FMS) and embedded avionics projects.
• Expertise in Black Box Testing / White Box Testing for system and peripheral devices.
• Familiarity with milestone audits, supplier management, and quality metrics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
