Job Role: Automotive Airbag Development Engineer

TekPillar is hiring an experienced Automotive Airbag Development Engineer to support the development and integration of airbag safety systems for automotive platforms. The role involves working on airbag concept development, crash safety compliance, and system validation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of front, side, and center airbag systems for automotive platforms.
• Select appropriate airbag concepts and designs based on seat profile and vehicle architecture.
• Ensure compliance with NCAP safety regulations and homologation requirements.
• Support crash simulations, safety validation, and testing activities.
• Manage airbag integration with seat structures and vehicle systems.
• Perform root cause analysis for airbag failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal specifications, regulatory standards, and project KPIs.
• Work with CATIA V for design validation and documentation release.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams including QA, Purchasing, Development, and Pilot Hall.
• Support projects from concept phase through production and End of Production (EOP).

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of airbag system design and development.
• Understanding of NCAP safety standards, crash simulations, and validation processes.
• Experience in airbag testing and safety system validation.
• Knowledge of seat and airbag integration in vehicle platforms.
• Hands-on experience with CATIA V and product development tools.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
