Automation Test Engineer - Software Quality Assurance

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and reusable test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications. Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, and test case design to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria. Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and report defects with clear documentation. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. Conduct functional, regression, integration, smoke, and performance testing using automation tools. Track, log, and verify defects in defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla). Ensure test automation supports scalability, reusability, and maintainability. Perform root cause analysis and provide inputs for process improvement. Stay updated on industry trends, new automation tools, and best practices to enhance testing efficiency. Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3 - 7 years of hands-on experience in Software Testing with strong focus on Automation. Proficiency in at least one automation tool (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit). Strong knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Bamboo). Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies. Good knowledge of SQL for database testing and validation. Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is an advantage. Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
