job title: automation test engineer (playwright) company: qaoncloud experience: 3?5 years work locations: chennai About The Role we are hiring a skilled automation test engineer with strong hands-on experience in playwright using javascript/typescript . the role involves designing scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and driving continuous improvement in qa processes. key responsibilities automation development design and maintain end-to-end automation scripts using playwright (js/ts). build scalable automation frameworks for web and api testing. develop reusable, maintainable, and modular automation components. test planning & execution analyze requirements and convert them into automation test cases. integrate automated suites into ci/cd pipelines (github actions, jenkins, azure devops, etc.). execute automated suites, analyze failures, and provide quick feedback to developers. quality assurance perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing through automation. collaborate with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues. ensure optimal test coverage for new features and enhancements. documentation & reporting maintain clear documentation for test scripts, frameworks, and processes. provide structured reports on test execution, defects, and automation coverage. technical qualifications strong hands-on experience with playwright for ui automation (mandatory). proficiency in javascript / typescript. experience in web application automation; exposure to api automation is a plus. solid understanding of test design techniques, automation patterns, and best practices. experience with git/github/bitbucket and ci/cd pipelines. familiarity with reporting tools like allure, extent, or playwright test reporter. soft skills strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. clear and effective communication. ability to work independently with minimal supervision. continuous improvement mindset. nice-to-have skills experience with cypress, selenium, or mobile automation. api testing exposure using postman or libraries like axios, supertest, or playwright api. basic knowledge of docker, aws, or similar cloud and container technologies. education bachelor?s degree in computer science, it, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
