Job Title: Automation Test Engineer (Java | Selenium | BDD)
Experience: 4–8 Years
Location: Chennai

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Selenium, Cucumber, and BDD, and will work closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber (BDD)
- Write and maintain BDD feature files using Gherkin
- Automate functional, regression, smoke, and integration test cases
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect tracking tools
- Perform test data preparation and environment validation
- Ensure best practices in test automation, code quality, and reusability
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Automation Testing using Java
- Hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver
- Solid experience with Cucumber and BDD frameworks
- Strong knowledge of BDD concepts and Gherkin syntax
- Experience in TestNG / JUnit
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts
- Experience testing web applications
- Familiarity with Maven / Gradle
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
