Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Selenium, Cucumber, and BDD, and will work closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber (BDD)
• Write and maintain BDD feature files using Gherkin
• Automate functional, regression, smoke, and integration test cases
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect tracking tools
• Perform test data preparation and environment validation
• Ensure best practices in test automation, code quality, and reusability
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in Automation Testing using Java
• Hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver
• Solid experience with Cucumber and BDD frameworks
• Strong knowledge of BDD concepts and Gherkin syntax
• Experience in TestNG / JUnit
• Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts
• Experience testing web applications
• Familiarity with Maven / Gradle
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
