Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Kandivali, Mumbai for an Audit Assistant. The Audit Assistant will be responsible for supporting financial audits, preparing audit reports, analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. The role also involves collaborating with team members to assess financial data and identify areas for improvement.

Job Description – Audit Assistant (Entry Level)

• Assist in conducting statutory audits, internal audits, and other assurance assignments for clients.
• Support the audit team in verification of financial records, vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents.
• Assist in preparation of audit working papers and documentation in accordance with audit standards.
• Perform basic accounting checks including ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliation verification, and compliance checks.
• Collect, organize, and maintain financial data and records required during audit assignments.
• Coordinate with client staff to obtain required information and clarifications during audits.
• Assist seniors in identifying discrepancies, control gaps, and compliance issues.
• Support preparation of audit reports, observations, and management comments.
• Travel to client locations for audit assignments across the Western Line as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct while handling client information.
• Continuously learn and develop knowledge of accounting, auditing, and regulatory requirements.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Commerce Graduate (B.Com or equivalent).
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in the field of auditing and accounting.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and MS Excel.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Flexible and willing to travel for audit assignments across the Western Line.
• Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience may apply.
