As part of Deutsche Börse Group’s digital transformation and cloud migration journey, the Big Data & Advanced Analytics (BDAA) team is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking DevOps Engineer. The team provides data platforms and infrastructure supporting data initiatives across the organization.

In this role, you will automate cloud configurations, manage metadata workflows in Atlan, and support users during onboarding. You will help ensure secure, efficient, and consistent metadata operations across all environments.

Your responsibilities:

• Contribute to the management and automation of GCP cloud resources using Infrastructure, as Code practices such as Terraform and develop automation scripts to reduce manual and repetitive tasks.
• Develop and enhance automation workflows and scripts maintained in GitHub to improve efficiency, reliability, and alignment with evolving platform requirements.
• Support metadata governance by enabling the structured organization of domains, glossaries, and metadata assets, and by assisting users throughout the onboarding process.
• Assist teams and users in adopting platform capabilities by providing guidance and ensuring compliance with established governance and operational standards.
• Monitor platform workflows and scheduled processes, proactively address operational issues, and collaborate with internal teams and vendor support to ensure reliable platform operations.
• Evaluate and respond to business requests and user inquiries in a timely and professional manner to ensure smooth platform usage.
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing workflows and recommend improvements or automation opportunities to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate and up to date documentation to support platform processes, operational guidelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your profile:

• 5 years working experience with cloud environments, preferably GCP, and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation-oriented practices.
• Understanding metadata management concepts and enterprise data catalog platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot platform and workflow related issues.
• Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues across office locations and functions.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative, demonstrating leadership in a team-oriented environment.
• Very strong English language skills are required.
