Your area of work:

As FinOps Expert you will act as the FinOps subject. Matter expert for a Business Area, responsible for managing and optimizing its cloud spend, providing cost transparency, driving cost. efficient use of cloud services and significantly contribute to Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy and shape their way towards establishing Deutsche Börse Group as a top company.

Your Responsibilities:

• Own cloud cost visibility and reporting for [Business Area], using FinOps tools such as Apptio Cloud ability (or equivalent) and cloud provider cost. management tools.
• Build and maintain cost and usage reports/dashboards; perform deep. Dive analyses in Excel (pivot tables, charts, scenario analysis).
• Prepare and deliver regular reviews and recommendations to stakeholders in PowerPoint or similar presentation tools.
• Analyze cost and usage data to identify key drivers, trends, and optimization opportunities.
• Proactively identify and prioritize optimization actions (rightsizing, reservations/commitments, storage optimization, cleanup of idle resources, etc.) using insights from Codability and other tools.
• Ensure tagging and allocation standards are applied so costs are accurately attributed to products/teams.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for cloud spend.
• Partner with engineering, product, and architecture teams to embed cost awareness in design and operations.
• Advise on pricing models and commitment strategies based on data from FinOps tools.
• Act as the interface between a Business Area and the central FinOps / Cloud Center of Excellence team.

Your Profile:

• Strong understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization practices.
• Hands on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated billing/cost tools.
• Practical experience with FinOps platforms (e.g., Apptio Cloud ability or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reporting) and solid PowerPoint skills (structured storylines, clear visuals).
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, product owners, architects, and finance; strong communication skills to translate data into business insights.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English – German knowledge of advantage
