Job Description: Data Analyst

SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Data Analyst with hands-on experience in Power BI and exposure to the Azure data platform to support reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. The role involves building dashboards, performing analysis, and working closely with senior analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders.

This position is ideal for someone who has a solid analytics foundation and is looking to grow deeper expertise in Azure-based analytics and enterprise BI practices.Key ResponsibilitiesReporting & Dashboards

Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards under guidance from senior team members.

Create and enhance data models using star/snowflake schemas.

Build basic to intermediate DAX measures.

Ensure dashboards are accurate, performant, and user-friendly.

Data Analysis

• Work with curated datasets from:
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure SQL Database
• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
• Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with data engineers to understand data pipelines and transformations.
  
  

Data Quality and Documentation

• Perform data validation and reconciliation checks.
• Document report logic, metrics, and assumptions.
• Follow established data governance and security standards.
  
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with business users to understand reporting needs.
  
  

Experience & Skills1. Minimum 4+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or reporting roles.

• Hands-on experience in Power BI, including:
• Building reports and dashboards
• Basic to intermediate DAX
• Data modeling fundamentals
• Good working knowledge of SQL
• Hands-on experience working with Azure data platforms, including:
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure SQL
• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
  
  

Education1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
