The Role

The Associate Director operates with a high degree of autonomy, similar to a partner in a consulting practice. Rather than following a set process, you are responsible for the business outcomes of your engagements. This involves translating client needs into technical solutions, managing the delivery team, and making independent decisions on resource allocation to ensure projects are both effective and sustainable.

Core Responsibilities

• Engagement Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, moving beyond project updates to provide strategic advice on their technical roadmaps.
• Outcome Management: Own the end-to-end success of client engagements. You are responsible for ensuring that the delivered solution meets the actual business need, not just the initial ticket requirements.
• Resource & Team Direction: Manage a cross-functional team of engineers and designers. You will decide how to best deploy resources across projects to maintain high standards of delivery.
• Solution Architecting: Bridge the gap between business constraints and technical execution. You should be comfortable discussing architectural trade-offs and helping the team navigate complex implementation hurdles.
• Account Growth: Maintain and deepen client relationships by consistently delivering value and identifying areas where Singularium’s expertise can further their objectives.

Experience & Requirements

• Professional Background: 7+ years of experience in technical consulting, engineering management, or a similar leadership role within the technology sector.
• Technical Literacy: A strong understanding of modern software development lifecycles, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and web frameworks. While you aren't coding daily, you must be able to hold your own in a deep technical discussion.
• Strategic Thinking: The ability to look at a client's business objectively and determine where technical intervention will provide the most significant ROI.
• Leadership: Experience leading mid-to-large sized technical teams and a proven track record of managing high-stakes stakeholder expectations.
• Education: A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business from a reputable institution; an advanced degree is preferred but secondary to professional achievements.
