Job Title: Associate (Catalyst - Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti)

Location: Noida

Travel: PAN India – As per project needs

Position Overview

The Associate will support the large-scale implementation of skill education initiatives across Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) under the partnership between Lend A Hand India (LAHI) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).

This is an execution-focused role involving support for planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of program activities, and requires close coordination with internal LAHI teams, JNV school stakeholders, and government officials to ensure timely and accurate delivery of program components.

Key Responsibilities

  • PMU Operations & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Support the day-to-day functioning of the Project Management Unit (PMU) at NVS.
  • Coordinate school-level activities including orientations, surveys, field visits, trainings, and project rollouts.
  • Assist in coordination with government officials, including Assistant Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and officers of equivalent rank, for meetings, reviews, and follow-ups.
  • Data Monitoring & Management
  • Support the design, rollout, and follow-up of data collection tools (Google Forms, Excel trackers, dashboards).
  • Track activity timelines, implementation status, and school-wise progress across multiple districts to ensure timely completion of program requirements.
  • Validate data received from schools, flag discrepancies, and follow up for corrections and completion.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Support preparation of periodic progress reports, presentations, and review notes for internal teams and NVS stakeholders.
  • Maintain communication logs, follow-up trackers, and implementation records to ensure timely responses and closure.
  • Assist in drafting, formatting, and organising SOPs, guidelines, and implementation documents.
  • Research & Insights
  • Conduct desk research and field-based analysis to generate insights for improving program design, implementation, and impact.
  • Support evidence-based decision-making through data analysis, documentation of learnings, and synthesis of findings.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience through fellowships, policy internships, research roles, or work in the development or education sector.
  • Familiarity with education policies and institutions, skill education, or government collaborations within the development or education sector.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and demonstrates a strong willingness to learn.
  • Maintains a positive, resilient, and solution-oriented outlook.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong coordination and communication skills in Hindi and English, including the ability to engage effectively with senior government officials.
  • Data visualization and basic analytical skills, with comfort in working with structured datasets.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
