Role Description The Assistant Professor (Pharmacy) will be responsible for delivering lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in pharmacy-related subjects, ensuring alignment with the curriculum and regulatory standards. Day-to-day activities include preparing lesson plans, developing learning materials, evaluating student performance, supervising laboratory work, and guiding students in projects and research activities. The role also involves participating in academic planning, contributing to curriculum development, engaging in scholarly research, and supporting departmental initiatives and accreditation processes. The Assistant Professor will mentor students, maintain academic records, attend faculty meetings, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site role located at CT Group of Institutions in Jalandhar.
Qualifications
  • Relevant academic qualifications in Pharmacy (preferably M.Pharm or Ph.D. in Pharmacy or a closely related discipline) from a recognized institution.
  • Strong knowledge of core pharmacy areas such as pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, and clinical pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated ability in classroom teaching, student assessment, and laboratory supervision, with effective use of modern pedagogical tools and technology.
  • Research aptitude with interest in publishing in peer-reviewed journals, participating in conferences, and contributing to funded projects or institutional research initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage a diverse student body.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, learning management systems, and digital tools supporting academic delivery and administration.
  • Commitment to academic integrity, student mentoring, and collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams and institutional committees.
  • Familiarity with national regulatory and accreditation bodies relevant to pharmacy education (such as PCI and other statutory guidelines) will be an advantage.
  • Prior teaching or academic experience in a pharmacy college or related institution is desirable but not mandatory for highly motivated early-career educators.
