Assistant professor pharmacy

MMDU invites applications for Assistant Professor of Pharmacy as an academic faculty responsible for teaching undergraduate/postgraduate students, conducting research in pharmaceutical sciences, mentoring students, and engaging in institutional service.

Key duties include delivering lectures, supervising labs (Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Chemistry), designing curriculum, publishing research, and securing grants.

The candidate should be a PhD (mandatory)

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching & Instruction: Develop and deliver curriculum for B.Pharm/M.Pharm courses, create, update, and assess student performance, and conduct laboratory sessions.
• Research & Publication: Conduct original research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and secure research funding through grants.
• Mentorship & Student Development: Guide students on academic and career matters, supervise research projects, and provide counseling.
• Academic Administration: Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, quality assurance, and accreditation processes (e.g., PCI norms).
• Industry Connect: Engage in training, consultancy, and industry collaboration.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: First Class B.Pharm with a Master’s degree (M.Pharm) and PhD in specialized areas (Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacognosy).
• Ph.D.: A doctorate degree in Pharmacy is highly required for career progression.
• Experience: Previous teaching or research experience in a college/university setting.
• Skills: Excellent communication, strong subject knowledge, and proficiency in English.

Specialized Roles

• Pharmaceutics: Focus on drug formulation, delivery systems, and manufacturing processes.
• Pharmacology: Teach mechanism of actions, therapeutic uses, and rational drug therapy.
• Pharmacognosy: Focus on natural products, herbal drugs, and extraction methods.
• Pharmacy Practice

• Adherence to Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) norms.
