About the Role

AAFT University invites applications for the position of *Assistant Professor – Interior Designing*. We are looking for a passionate academician with strong subject expertise and a creative approach to teaching, mentoring, and research in the field of Interior Designing.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Interior Designing.
• Develop lesson plans, course materials, assignments, and assessments in accordance with the curriculum.
• Guide and mentor students in design projects, portfolios, and research work.
• Conduct studio sessions, workshops, juries, and pra…* demonstrations.
• Stay updated with current trends, materials, technologies, and industry practices in interior design.
• Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, accreditation activities, and departmental initiatives.
• Encourage innovation, research, publications, and industry collaborations.
• Perform academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the University.

Eligibility

• Ph.d / Master's Degree in Interior Designing/ Architecture with a consistently good academic record.
• NET qualification is desirable where applicable.
• Candidates with relevant industry experience, research publications, or a Ph.D. will be given preference.
• Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.

Experience

• 1–5 years of teaching and/or professional industry experience in Interior Designing.
• Fresh candidates with exceptional academic credentials and design portfolios may also apply.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant design tools.
• Knowledge of space planning, furniture design, materials, lighting, building services, and sustainable design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical expertise.
