Role Description The Assistant Professor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sadar. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate law courses, preparing lesson plans, and conducting lectures, tutorials, and seminars. The Assistant Professor will guide students in legal research, supervise projects, evaluate assignments and examinations, and provide academic mentoring. Responsibilities also include contributing to curriculum development, participating in academic committees, engaging in scholarly research and publication, and supporting institutional activities such as moot courts, workshops, and legal awareness programs.
Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in Law (LL.M) from a recognized university; Ph.D. or enrollment in a doctoral program in Law is preferred.
  • Strong foundation in core legal subjects and ability to teach specialized areas such as constitutional law, criminal law, corporate law, or procedural law.
  • Demonstrated skills in legal research, academic writing, and publication in reputable journals or conference proceedings.
  • Effective teaching, classroom management, and student mentoring skills, with a learner-centered and inclusive approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Familiarity with case law analysis, moot court activities, and practical training methods that connect theory with practice.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to institutional development, and participate in academic and administrative committees.
  • Comfort with using basic educational technology, learning management systems, and digital legal resources.
  • Prior teaching or professional legal experience (practice, clerkship, or consultancy) is an advantage.
