Job Title: Assistant Manager – Finance & Compliance

Location: Delhi/Gurugram | 5 Days Work Week

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Finance & Compliance to review sub-grantee financial documents, ensure compliance with donor and statutory guidelines, support financial reporting, audits, reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review utilization certificates, financial reports, invoices, vouchers, and supporting documents submitted by sub-grantees.
  • Verify expenditures against approved budgets, grant agreements, and donor guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and organizational financial policies.
  • Identify discrepancies, documentation gaps, and ineligible expenses, and coordinate with stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, compliance documentation, and audit-ready files.
  • Prepare financial summaries, compliance reports, and management MIS.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documents and clarifications.
  • Coordinate with program teams and sub-grantees on financial reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in accounting entries, reconciliations, month-end/year-end closing activities, and financial record management.
  • Support budgeting, financial controls, process improvements, and other finance & compliance-related responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within NGOs, donor-funded projects, or grant management.
  • Experience in reviewing sub-grant or partner financial documents will be an advantage.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of financial documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or non-compliance.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
