Assistant Manager - Finance - CAPEX

Purpose of Role

To manage and control Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) processes across the manufacturing plant, ensuring robust financial evaluation, governance, budgeting, tracking, and compliance to support capacity expansion, modernization, and operational efficiency.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Support preparation of annual CAPEX budgets in coordination with plant, engineering, and business teams.
• Track CAPEX utilization against approved budgets and timelines.
• Conduct financial evaluation of CAPEX proposals including ROI, IRR, NPV, and payback analysis.
• Review technical and commercial assumptions in coordination with engineering and SCM teams.
• Ensure correct accounting of capital assets in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Coordinate timely capitalization of assets post commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to CAPEX accounting.
• Support internal, statutory, and tax audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Maintain proper CAPEX records, asset registers, and audit trails.
  
  

Critical Success Factors - Essential

• CA or CMA, MBA – Finance or equivalent.
• 6+ years of FP&A experience.
• The experience should include working on budgetary controls processes, PPT for various management review, MIS consolidation.
• Strong exposure to budgeting, capitalization, and audit support.
• Financial Planning & Analysis, Strong knowledge of financial principles & Budgeting
