Assistant Manager / Manager – Banking Analytics

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 3–8 years

Role Summary

We are seeking analytics professionals with hands-on experience in ML model development and exposure to retail banking use cases. The role focuses on building and delivering data-driven solutions that support risk, growth, and customer decisioning for global banking clients.

This position offers opportunities to work across the end-to-end analytics lifecycle, from problem formulation to model deployment and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance statistical and ML models for retail banking applications such as:

  • Credit risk and underwriting
  • Fraud and transaction monitoring
  • Collections and portfolio analytics
  • Customer segmentation and churn

Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model validation

Translate business requirements into analytical approaches and insights

Partner with business, risk, and technology stakeholders to deliver solutions

Support model documentation, validation, and ongoing performance tracking

Manager-level roles may additionally:

Lead workstreams or small teams

Interface with clients and contribute to solution design

Review outputs and guide analytical best practices

Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Strong working experience in Python or SAS for analytics and model development
  • Experience applying ML or statistical techniques in real-world datasets
  • Understanding of model performance metrics and validation concepts

Domain Exposure

  • Experience working on banking or financial services analytics projects
  • Familiarity with retail banking products such as loans, cards, or deposits is preferred

Professional Experience

  • Assistant Manager: Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Manager: Typically 6–8 years of relevant experience, with exposure to client or team leadership
