Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Editor for a part-time hybrid role based in Chennai, with flexibility for some work-from-home. The Assistant Editor will be responsible for organizing raw footage, executing basic video edits, and ensuring the technical setup for projects aligns with production standards. This role also involves collaborating with directors and editors to maintain consistency in the storytelling and visual style. Additional duties may include labeling, archiving, and managing media assets to streamline post-production workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and Davinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of video formatting, file management, and post-production workflows
• Attention to detail for tasks like organizing footage, labeling, and archiving
• Ability to collaborate effectively with directors and lead editors to maintain storytelling consistency
• Knowledge of film editing and basic graphic design is a plus
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Experience in cinematic production or working with creative teams will be an advantage
