Asphalt Laborer

2401 S. Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA - *Full-Time

Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company - is seeking a Asphalt Laborer to perform a wide range of duties depending that may change depending on the type of project they are working on and the team members they are working with.

Responsibilities

• Rake/Shovel asphalt in construction area
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot/cold mix
• Maintain a clean job site: pick up tools and equipment and secure jobs site each day
• Material Handling and storage
• May operate a variety of hand and power tools
• May assist with craft workers
  
  

Asphalt Laborer/Operator Skills

Some skills necessary to perform all the different tasks associated with this job:

• Equipment such as - bobcat, front end loader, paver, tractor and screed
• Detailed oriented and team spirit
• Measure work area accurately
  
  

Qualifications

• Physical ability to stand long periods of time
• Physical ability to bend and crouch
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas
• Must be adaptable to changes in work environment; frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time: Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent
• Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary
• Must be able to work overtime when required
