About the Company

Our client is building consumer-focused mobile applications for India and the US market. They are looking for an experienced ASO & SEO Specialist to drive organic growth by improving app store visibility, search engine rankings, and user acquisition through data-driven strategies.

This is a hands-on role where you'll own the complete organic growth funnel—from app discovery on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to organic search visibility on Google. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to improve rankings, increase installs, and reduce customer acquisition costs through sustainable organic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

App Store Optimization (ASO)

  • Own end-to-end ASO strategy across the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Conduct continuous keyword research, ranking analysis, and metadata optimization (titles, subtitles, descriptions, and keyword fields).
  • Plan and execute A/B tests for app icons, screenshots, preview videos, and other store creatives.
  • Monitor and optimize store conversion rates from impressions to installs.
  • Manage app ratings, reviews, and review-response strategies to improve rankings and conversions.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies across web properties.
  • Optimize technical SEO, on-page SEO, content, and link-building initiatives.
  • Create landing pages and topic clusters targeting high-intent organic traffic.
  • Collaborate with content and engineering teams to improve site speed, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, schema implementation, and internal linking.
  • Improve web-to-app conversion journeys.

Keyword Strategy

  • Build and maintain keyword strategies across multiple markets.
  • Research search intent, competition, and keyword opportunities.
  • Map keywords effectively across app store listings and website content.
  • Localize metadata and content based on regional search behavior and user intent.

Organic Growth & Analytics

  • Build scalable organic growth processes and frameworks.
  • Track rankings, organic installs, traffic, and conversion metrics.
  • Create dashboards to monitor performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Execute continuous experiments and prioritize high-impact growth initiatives.
  • Monitor competitor activities and algorithm updates.
  • Drive sustainable organic growth while contributing to a reduction in Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in ASO and/or SEO, preferably for consumer mobile applications.
  • Proven track record of improving app rankings, organic installs, and search visibility.
  • Strong understanding of App Store Optimization best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with ASO tools such as AppTweak, Sensor Tower, data.ai, AppFollow, or Mobile Action.
  • Experience using SEO tools including Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting dashboards, funnel metrics, and A/B testing results.
  • Good understanding of Apple App Store and Google Play Store ranking factors.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on consumer mobile applications.
  • Exposure to multi-market or international ASO/SEO strategies.
  • Familiarity with attribution tools such as Branch, AppsFlyer, or Adjust.
  • Basic SQL knowledge is an added advantage.
  • An eye for evaluating and optimizing creative assets for app store listings.
