Role: AI Engineer (Full Stack & AI) at a Cambridge University backed startup

Location: Remote (within 4-5 hours of London time)

Salary: £18,000 - £30,000 p.a.

The Mission:

To automate the entire workflow of intelligence investigations. Intelligence solutions currently only aggregate data. The actual analysis remains manual. At Satorus, we’re automating this to deliver customer-tailored intelligence at warp speeds to ensure that no organisation ever has to make a decision in the dark. You will be an architect of this automation.

What you’ll do:

  • Architect & Iterate: Work directly with the CTO to translate business objectives into technical reality.
  • Full-Stack Ownership: Develop and maintain core services across the stack (React/Python), ensuring our platform is as robust as it is innovative.
  • AI Frontier: Build and refine AI agents and advanced prompt engineering to automate complex intelligence workflows.
  • Operational Excellence: Support live deployments, optimise performance, and troubleshoot mission-critical issues in real-time.
  • Shape engineering standards: help establish the technical processes and quality bar as we scale.

What we’re looking for

The Person:

  • The "0 to 1" Mindset: You’ve built cool stuff before. Whether it's a side project, an open-source contribution, or a previous startup, you know how to handle a blank canvas.
  • Radical Candor: We value honesty over politeness. We need someone who can challenge ideas and take feedback without ego.
  • C1 or C2 proficiency in English

Technical Skills:

  • Tech Stack: Professional proficiency in React and Python.
  • AI Focus: Hands-on experience with Agentic AI development, RAG, memory and Prompt Engineering.
  • Core Fundamentals: A strong grasp of CS fundamentals (Data Structures, Algorithms, System Design).
  • Bonus Point: Familiarity with AI Security and open-source intelligence.

Compensation:

  • Salary: £18,000 - £30,000 p.a. benchmarked to target geography market local rates
