Role Description The Area Sales Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lucknow, with flexibility for some work from home. The role is responsible for developing and managing sales in the assigned territory, building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, installers, and key customers, and driving revenue growth for solar panels and related solutions. Day-to-day tasks include identifying new business opportunities, conducting market research, preparing and presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely closure of deals. The Area Sales Manager collaborates closely with the technical and operations teams to align customer requirements with appropriate solar solutions and to ensure smooth project execution. The role also involves monitoring sales performance, providing regular reporting and forecasts, participating in marketing activities and events, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally in solar, renewable energy, or related technical products.
  • Strong skills in territory management, client relationship building, and key account handling.
  • Ability to conduct market analysis, identify growth opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Competence in preparing proposals, negotiating commercial terms, and closing deals.
  • Comfort with using CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and digital communication platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and interpersonal abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented individual with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned area as needed and work in a hybrid model based in Lucknow.
  • Understanding of solar PV modules, inverters, and EPC processes is highly beneficial.
