Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Sales Manager role based in Chennai. The Area Sales Manager will oversee sales operations in the assigned region, including prospecting and onboarding new customers, building relationships with EV fleet operators and individual owner-operators, and managing a healthy sales pipeline. Responsibilities include meeting sales and portfolio growth targets, coordinating with internal credit and operations teams, monitoring market trends and competitor activities, and ensuring high-quality customer service. The role also involves visiting dealerships and partner locations, conducting field visits for lead generation, and providing regular reporting and insights to management.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in sales and business development, including lead generation, client acquisition, and relationship management.
  • Experience in financial services, NBFCs, or lending, with understanding of credit processes, documentation, and risk awareness.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present value propositions clearly to diverse customer groups.
  • Ability to analyze market data, track performance metrics, and use basic MS Office or similar tools for reporting and planning.
  • Proven capability to work in the field, manage multiple stakeholders, and operate independently to achieve regional targets.
  • Prior exposure to the auto or EV sector, commercial vehicles, or asset-finance products is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline; relevant sales or finance certifications are a plus.
  • Fluency in English and local languages spoken in Chennai, with a customer-centric mindset and high ethical standards.
