Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Area Sales Manager. The Area Sales Manager will oversee sales activities within an assigned territory, including managing distributor and retailer relationships, executing sales plans, and meeting revenue and volume targets. Responsibilities include monitoring market trends, identifying new business opportunities, coordinating promotions, and ensuring timely product supply and visibility. The role also involves regular reporting on sales performance, competitor activity, and customer feedback, as well as collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and finance. The Area Sales Manager is expected to maintain strong professional communication standards and uphold company policies and ethical sales practices.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability in territory management, channel development, and relationship building with distributors and retailers.
  • Experience in sales planning, forecasting, and performance tracking to achieve defined targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Practical understanding of the food or FMCG industry, including market dynamics and customer behavior, is highly beneficial.
  • Comfort with remote work, including using digital tools for reporting, coordination, and virtual meetings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
