Role Description The Area Sales Manager role is a full-time hybrid position based in Hanumangarh, with a mix of on-site field work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing dealer and distributor relationships, and expanding the customer base within the assigned territory. Day-to-day activities include visiting dealers and farmers, conducting product demonstrations of agricultural implements, monitoring market trends, and identifying new business opportunities. The role involves planning and executing sales strategies, coordinating with the service and spare parts teams to ensure customer satisfaction, and preparing regular sales reports and forecasts. The Area Sales Manager will also provide feedback to the product and marketing teams, participate in promotional events, and ensure compliance with company policies and pricing guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in field sales or business development, preferably in agricultural machinery, farm equipment, or related industrial products.
  • Strong relationship management skills for working with dealers, distributors, and farmers, with the ability to build trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to explain product benefits, conduct demonstrations, and close sales effectively.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to develop and adjust territory sales plans.
  • Comfort with basic sales reporting, use of CRM or sales tracking tools, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area, including rural and semi-urban markets.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Local language proficiency and understanding of regional farming practices will be an advantage
