Job Title: Area Sales Manager (Agriculture Machinery)

Location: Madhya Pradesh (Field Role)

Travel: Extensive field travel in MP + occasional visits to Bihar


Job Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager with prior experience in agricultural machinery such as threshers, rotavator, etc. The role involves expanding dealer network, managing relationships, and driving sales growth in the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute district-wise sales plans for market expansion
  • Identify and onboard new dealers/distributors in assigned regions
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing dealers and ensure business growth
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor dealer performance and market trends
  • Coordinate closely with the Sales Head for strategy and execution
  • Collect and share market feedback, competitor insights, and dealer inputs
  • Participate in review meetings and provide actionable updates
  • Ensure timely communication and support to dealers

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in Agricultural Machinery Sales (B2B)
  • Strong understanding of rural/agri markets
  • Ability to appoint and manage dealer networks
  • Willingness for extensive field work in MP
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and achieve targets

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience in territory/area sales in agri-machinery
  • Familiarity with MP market (preferred)
  • Self-driven and target-oriented


Note: Candidate will be based in MP and should be open for visits to Bihar for meetings and discussions.

Qualifications

  • Sales Management and Account Management experience
  • Strong understanding of market analysis and business development skills
  • Customer Relationship Management and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team leadership and ability to mentor and motivate a sales team
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other CRM tools
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of the agricultural machinery industry is highly beneficial
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a sales leadership role is preferred
  • Fluency in the local language (Hindi) and proficiency in English
