WARD FOUR Design is an architecture and planning studio focused on healthcare and institutional projects on how the built environment supports the delivery of care. Our work is grounded in hospital operations, clinical workflows, human behaviour, and long-term performance.

With experience across India, East Africa, and the Caribbean, we design hospitals, cancer centres, healthcare campuses, senior living facilities, and training environments. Our services include master planning, architecture, medical and facility planning, interior design, documentation, and construction administration.

 

Role Overview

Mid-Level Architect

Location: Bengaluru | Experience: 3–7 years

WARD FOUR Design is seeking a proactive Mid-Level Architect who can translate design intent into coordinated, construction-ready documentation. The role requires strong ownership of architectural drawings, coordination with consultants, site execution, and regulatory compliance.

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is essential. Working knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows will be a strong advantage.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural layouts, elevations, sections, details, and 3D design studies.
  • Prepare coordinated GFC, interior, joinery, and construction documentation packages.
  • Coordinate with structural, MEP, specialist consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Review drawings for technical accuracy, buildability, quality, and design consistency.
  • Support compliance with BBMP, BDA, BIAAPA, NBC, fire, accessibility, and other applicable regulations.
  • Prepare specifications, material schedules, BOQs, and presentation packages.
  • Conduct site visits, review execution, resolve discrepancies, and protect design intent.
  • Manage assigned project packages, track deliverables, and guide junior team members.
  • Participate in client, consultant, design review, and site coordination meetings.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a COA-recognised institution.
  • 3–7 years of professional experience across design, documentation, and construction stages.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray, Photoshop, or similar tools is an advantage.
  • Strong familiarity with Building Codes.
  • Strong understanding of construction detailing, materials, and consultant coordination.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, organise information, and take ownership of deliverables.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in healthcare, institutional, or other technically complex projects is preferred.
