Architect I - SAP ABAP – S/4HANA | OData | CDS | IDOC

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP ABAP on HANA Technical Consultant/Architect with 10+ years of strong SAP technical expertise across Core ABAP, S/4HANA development, SAP BTP, and modern SAP innovation technologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong architecture and hands-on development capabilities, with proven experience delivering complex SAP implementations and driving technical innovation initiatives.

The role requires close collaboration with customer technical leads, solution architects, functional teams, and business stakeholders to design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise-grade SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP technical solution delivery across development, enhancements, integrations, and support activities.
• Design and develop scalable SAP solutions using ABAP on HANA and S/4HANA programming paradigms.
• Drive technical innovation initiatives leveraging SAP BTP and AI-aligned technologies.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and functional teams to build robust SAP applications and integrations.
• Optimize engineering efficiency and development processes for continuous delivery and Agile execution.
• Work closely with customer technical leadership to provide architectural guidance and technical solutions.
• Support complex integration scenarios involving middleware, APIs, web services, and external systems.
• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization techniques.
• Participate in technical design reviews, estimations, troubleshooting, and production support.
  
  

Must Have Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of strong SAP technical experience with expertise in:
• Core ABAP
• ABAP on HANA
• S/4HANA ABAP Programming
• SAP NetWeaver fundamentals
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
• SAP UI5/Fiori
• IDocs
• Interfaces
• OOPS ABAP
• BADIs & Enhancement Framework
• Enhancement Switch Framework
• Extensive experience with SAP HANA technologies including:
• Code-to-Data paradigm
• CDS Views
• OData Services
• AMDP
• Strong understanding of:
• SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
• APIs and Web Services (SOAP/REST)
• Experience in multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects in a hands-on technical leadership role.
• Experience working on integration projects involving middleware platforms.
• Strong architectural and problem-solving capabilities in complex SAP environments.
• Good understanding of SAP business processes related to:
• Order Management
• Subscription Billing
• Invoicing and Usage-based processes
• Functional overview knowledge of SAP modules:
• MM
• SD
• FI/CO
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

• Experience with SAP BRIM.
• Exposure to SAP Hybris / SAP Commerce solutions.
• Knowledge of SAP AI/Generative AI capabilities integrated with SAP BTP.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation in SAP landscapes.
• Exposure to SAP RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).
• Experience in cloud-native SAP extension development.
• SAP certification(s) in S/4HANA, BTP, or ABAP on HANA.
