Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect to lead and manage the DevOps function for our large-scale, high-traffic production systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building, deploying, and managing containerised services, Kubernetes clusters, serverless architectures, and cloud-native applications. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, capable of designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems. Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and management of DevOps processes for high-traffic production systems in industries such as FinTech, Banking, E-commerce, or other large-scale transactional platforms. Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, GCP, and Azure, leveraging multiple services to meet application and business requirements. Implement and maintain Kubernetes-based container orchestration, serverless solutions, and microservices architectures. Ensure High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), failover strategies, and fallback mechanisms for critical production environments. Drive CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment processes to ensure seamless delivery of applications. Monitor and optimise system performance, resource utilisation, and cost-efficiency across cloud environments. Establish best practices for security, compliance, and operational efficiency. Mentor, lead, and manage DevOps teams, providing guidance on architecture, automation, and production operations. Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to translate technical requirements into reliable, scalable solutions. Evaluate emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and cloud services, ensuring continuous improvement of infrastructure and operational practices. Requirements Minimum 10 years of experience in DevOps, cloud architecture, and infrastructure engineering, with proven experience in high-traffic, production-grade systems. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, containerised applications, and serverless architectures. Deep knowledge of cloud platforms : AWS, GCP, Azure - with hands-on experience in multiple services (compute, storage, networking, database, security, monitoring). Proven track record of designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems with disaster recovery and fallback mechanisms. Strong experience in CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM templates), monitoring, logging, and alerting. Expertise in networking, load balancing, proxy configuration, caching, and performance optimisation. Experience working in FinTech, Banking, E-commerce, or other high-transaction domains is highly preferred. Strong leadership qualities, with prior experience managing and mentoring DevOps teams. Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance requirements, and cost optimisation strategies. Experience with multi-cloud deployments and hybrid cloud architectures. Knowledge of advanced monitoring, tracing, and observability tools. Hands-on experience with edge computing, API gateways, and message queues. (ref:hirist.tech)
