Application Engineer

Job Description

Role Overview The Application Engineer plays a crucial role in enabling smooth deployments and stable operations of our cloud platform. This role is focused on collaborating directly with the TechOps team, diagnosing any application issues during deployment, identifying and remediating security flaws, and fixing bugs to ensure continuous performance, security, and reliability. The Application Engineer will not be responsible for building new features but instead will apply strong troubleshooting and technical support skills to maintain a robust production environment. Responsibilities ? Support the TechOps team during deployment by ensuring the application is configured, integrated, and running as expected. ? Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues arising during deployments or day-to-day platform operations. ? Conduct root cause analysis of production incidents and apply timely, accurate bug fixes. ? Identify and fix security vulnerabilities within the deployed application, collaborating with security stakeholders as needed. ? Serve as a primary point of contact for application incidents and operational queries, empowering TechOps with quick resolutions and technical guidance. ? Adhere to organizational policies for production changes and maintain comprehensive documentation of problems, resolutions, and improvements. ? Collaborate with other engineers when hotfixes, patches, or architectural clarifications are required to uphold system stability and security. ? Stay current with monitoring tools, deployment best practices, and emerging security threats to proactively prevent issues. Requirements ? 2+ years of experience in software support, application troubleshooting, or a related technical role in production systems. ? Expertise with diagnosing and resolving issues in TypeScript-based stacks (such as React and NestJS), MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, microservices, and modern application frameworks. ? Strong knowledge of cloud-native operations (using Kubernetes, Docker), as well as open-source and on-premises deployments. ? Solid understanding of SDLC, production monitoring, incident management, and application security best practices. ? Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, and clear verbal and written communication abilities. ? DevOps mindset and proven experience supporting TechOps, platform, or deployment teams. ? Commitment to thorough documentation and adherence to operational best practices, especially in high-pressure situations. Job Location: Delhi
