Job Description

About Globe United FZE

Globe United FZE is a UAE-based manufacturer and solutions provider specializing in process instrumentation and flow-control equipment, serving the oil & gas, power generation, water treatment, and chemical processing industries. Our product portfolio includes precision-engineered Orifice Plates & Assemblies, Strainers, Magnetic Level Gauges, Differential Pressure Level Instruments, and associated flow measurement devices — designed and manufactured to the highest international standards including ASME, API, and ISO.

Role Overview

We are looking for motivated and technically curious Application Engineers to join our growing team in New Delhi. In this role, you will work at the intersection of engineering and customer solutions — translating process requirements into technically sound, commercially viable product recommendations. This is an ideal opportunity for fresh or early-career engineers who want deep exposure to industrial instrumentation, process design, and international project environments.

This is a full-time, on-site position based out of our New Delhi office (West Delhi).

Key Responsibilities

Technical Application & Sizing

  • Study customer P&IDs, datasheets, and line specifications to recommend appropriate products from our portfolio.
  • Perform sizing and selection calculations for orifice plates, restriction orifices, strainers, and level instruments using established engineering methods and in-house tools.
  • Ensure all recommendations comply with relevant standards including ASME B16.36, API 5L, ASME B73, and applicable instrumentation codes.

Proposal & Documentation

  • Prepare detailed technical proposals, datasheets, and material take-offs for client enquiries.
  • Generate GA drawings, dimensional specifications, and bill of materials in coordination with the design team.
  • Maintain accurate records of enquiries, submittals, and revisions in the company's documentation system.

Customer & Project Coordination

  • Liaise with clients, EPCs, and PMC consultants to clarify technical requirements and obtain technical bid approvals.
  • Respond to technical queries, RFQs, and clarification requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and QC teams to ensure customer specifications are correctly interpreted on the shop floor.

Standards & Quality Compliance

  • Ensure all designs and recommendations are in line with ASME, API, ANSI, EN, and customer-specific standards.
  • Participate in design reviews, Material Review Boards (MRBs), and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) as required.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal calculation tools, sizing software, and product configurators.

Continuous Learning & Development

  • Develop working knowledge of Globe United's full product range across flow measurement and level instrumentation.
  • Stay current with evolving industry standards, materials technology, and application best practices.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical literature, application notes, and internal training material.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Candidates with strong academic records from reputed universities will be preferred.
  • A Post Graduate degree or relevant certification in Process Instrumentation or Industrial Engineering is an advantage.

Experience

  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in application engineering, technical sales support, or instrumentation design.
  • Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals and a demonstrable interest in process industries are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior exposure to oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or water treatment projects is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Sound understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
  • Familiarity with sizing and selection of orifice meters, differential pressure devices, basket/Y strainers, and level gauges.
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation, including P&IDs, isometrics, and GA drawings.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (engineering calculations and data handling).
  • Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is an advantage.
  • Exposure to standards such as ASME, API, ISA, IEC, and ATEX will be viewed favorably.

Soft Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with an eye for engineering detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously and meet proposal deadlines.
  • A proactive, self-driven attitude with a willingness to learn rapidly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, and commercial functions.

What We Offer

  • Exposure to high-complexity, international projects across diverse end-user industries.
  • Hands-on experience with a broad portfolio of process instrumentation products.
  • A structured learning environment with mentorship from senior engineers.
  • Opportunities for growth into senior application, design, or business development roles.
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
