Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Noida, Pune,927 Experience: 4?8 Years (Core Development) + 8?10 Years (ITAM Experience preferred) Salary Range: INR 14,00,000 ? 30,00,000 Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office) Notice Period: 0?15 Days Job Stability: Mandatory Interview Process: 2 Technical Rounds + 1 Client Round Role Overview This role involves independently developing high-quality, error-free code while also contributing to IT Asset Management (ITAM) initiatives on the ServiceNow platform. You will support software and hardware asset lifecycle activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide junior developers. The position requires strong hands-on development capabilities along with expertise in ServiceNow ITAM, HAM, SAM, and CMDB-related processes. Key Responsibilities Software Engineering Responsibilities Develop high-quality code independently based on user stories and design inputs. Debug, test, document, and communicate progress throughout development stages. Identify opportunities to reuse or enhance existing components. Drive efficiency through automation and Agile best practices. Mentor Developer I and Developer II team members. Identify problem patterns and recommend improvements in technical design. Contribute to and review technical designs in collaboration with senior leads. Ensure adherence to engineering standards, timelines, and SLAs. Support defect root cause analysis, mitigation, and resolution. Prepare module-level estimates, documentation, and status reports. Create low-level designs (LLD) for multiple components. Support release activities and configuration management processes. IT Asset Management Responsibilities (ServiceNow ITAM) Implement and optimize ITAM workflows and lifecycle processes on ServiceNow. Support enterprise-wide hardware and software asset tracking. Align asset records with procurement and finance stakeholders. Manage SaaS applications (discoverable & non-discoverable) including usage tracking. Analyze software installations and usage for compliance and optimization. Maintain CMDB and ITAM table accuracy and governance. Build reports and dashboards for ITAM KPIs and audit visibility. Support data integrations, discovery, and automation tools. Collaborate with IT, audit, legal, and operations teams on license compliance. Assist with audit preparation, remediation, and documentation. Expected Outputs High-quality, validated, error-free code. Accurate unit test cases, scenarios, and execution reports. Clear documentation and peer reviews. Effective defect management and faster turnaround for production issues. Creation of reusable components. Accurate estimates and timely status reporting. Effective mentoring of junior team members. Must-Have Skills ServiceNow ITAM (3+ years) Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Software Asset Management (SAM) CMDB Integration Asset Lifecycle Management Strong coding and problem-solving skills Hands-on experience in: Programming languages IDE tools DBMS concepts Agile methodology Mandatory: HAM (SAM preferred but not mandatory) Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with licensing models & contract/license tracking. Asset normalization and catalog mapping. Governance strategies for discoverable & non-discoverable SaaS. ServiceNow dashboards and report creation. Audit preparation and compliance processes. Experience with tools such as ACC, JAMF, or discovery tools. Preferred Certifications ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist ?
