Apigee Developer

We are looking for an Apigee Developer and Support with around 2 years of hands-on experience in API development , Support using Google Apigee. The role involves designing, developing, securing, and maintaining APIs while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams, production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of APIs. The position requires availability in flexible or rotational shifts for 8 hours development and support. The candidate should be comfortable working in flexible shift hours to support global applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using Apigee X
• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, API Keys, JWT, Spike Arrest, and Quota policies
• Integrate APIs with backend services and 3rd‑party systems
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines for API deployments
• Prepare and maintain API documentation and technical design artifacts
• Work in flexible or rotational shifts as per business requirements
• Provide L2/L3 support for APIs hosted on Apigee
• Monitor API traffic, latency, and error rates using Apigee analytics and logging tools
• Troubleshoot production issues related to:
• - Authentication and authorization failures
• - Backend connectivity issues
• - Policy execution errors
• Analyze logs (Apigee, GCP Log Explorer, or external logging tools) to identify root causes
• Support incident management, issue resolution, and RCA preparation
• Assist in API deployments, rollbacks, and configuration changes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working with Apigee API Management
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods
• Basic knowledge of API security standards
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and deployment automation
• Familiarity with GCP services is an advantage
• Good problem‑solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work in flexible shift hours
• Knowledge of Apigee policies and error handling
• Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, API Keys, and certificates
