Job Summary

Appbay Technologies is looking for a skilled API Developer with a passion for building efficient and scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain APIs that enable seamless communication between applications, ensuring top-notch performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to support business requirements.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs into applications effectively.
Write clean, reusable, and scalable code adhering to best practices.
Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, or similar.
Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Debug and resolve technical issues related to API functionality or performance.
Ensure proper API documentation for external and internal consumption using tools like Swagger or Postman.
Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards.
Monitor API usage and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in API development and backend programming.
Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, or PHP.
Strong experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL) such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience in using version control systems like Git.
Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
