Android Mobile Application Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a driven, self-starting Mobile App Developer with deep Android expertise and strong React Native proficiency. This is a hands-on role for someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do — you identify gaps, own solutions, and move fast. Experience with SSO and identity/access management is a significant differentiator for this engagement.

Core responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java
• Build and extend cross-platform mobile features using React Native
• Architect and implement SSO flows, OAuth 2.0/OIDC integrations, and identity management solutions
• Take full ownership of features from discovery through deployment — no hand-holding required
• Proactively identify technical debt, performance gaps, and security vulnerabilities and drive resolution
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams while maintaining delivery momentum
• Define and uphold mobile development best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and testing standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of mobile development experience with strong Android focus
• Expert-level Kotlin; proficiency in Java a plus
• 3+ years hands-on with React Native in production environments
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, Compose, and Material Design
• Experience integrating SSO providers (Okta, Azure AD, Ping, ForgeRock, Auth0, etc.)
• Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and token-based auth flows on mobile
• Demonstrated track record of driving projects independently with minimal direction
