Job Description
Job Title: Android Middleware Engineer ? Automotive Experience: 3 to 8 Years Location: Bangalore, Chennai Key Responsibilities: Develop and enhance Android middleware components and services. Work on AOSP, HAL, JNI, and Android framework layers. Implement Android services, AIDL, and optimize system performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Platform, Hardware, UI) to integrate Android modules. Debug, analyze logs, and resolve issues using tools like GDB and logcat. Participate in feature definition, system integration, and validation testing. Required Skills & Expertise: Strong programming skills in Java, C, and C++ . Hands-on experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or Android IoT platforms. Proficiency in JNI, Android SDK, Camera2 / CameraX APIs, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS . Good knowledge of OOPS concepts, threading, and performance tuning . Familiarity with Yocto / Linux build systems and debugging tools ( GDB, CMake ). Experience in Automotive Infotainment , RTOS , or Embedded Linux environments. Version control using Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
