Looking for Android Developer

• 4+ years of Android development experience (Java and/or Kotlin)
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (Kotlin 1.8+).
• Deep understanding of Android SDK (Android 10+ / API 29+)
• Experience with Jetpack Compose for modern declarative UI development
• Android app architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, MVP, or Clean Architecture)
• RESTful API integration and async networking (Retrofit, OkHttp, Kotlin Coroutines)
• Android Studio proficiency including debugging tools and Profiler
• Memory management and performance optimization
• Git version control and collaborative development workflows
• Gradle build system and build optimization
• Unit and Functional Test

Mobile Application Development (60%)

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications for Payments debit card products
• Implement new features for the Payment One Card on the Oslo platform
• Build and optimize card provisioning flows, enrollment experiences, and card management features
• Develop seamless integrations with Payment Plus (PP+) rewards program
• Create intuitive UIs for balance displays, transaction activity, and rewards tracking
• Implement digital wallet provisioning flows (Google Pay and Samsung Pay integration)
• Work on performance optimization, ANR reduction, and crash prevention initiatives
• Ensure Material Design principles and Android best practices

Collaboration & Cross-functional Work (25%)

• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and QA to define and implement features
• Collaborate with iOS engineers to ensure feature parity and consistent experiences
• Work with backend teams on API integration and data synchronization
• Coordinate with Growth, Funds-in, Issuance, and Wallet teams on shared features
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews
• Contribute to code reviews and mentor junior engineers

Quality & Operations (15%)

• Write unit tests, UI tests, and participate in integration testing
• Monitor app performance, crash rates, ANR metrics, and key performance indicators
• Debug and resolve production issues
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
• Document technical designs and implementation details
