Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Android Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance Android applications for Shriram General Insurance’s digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing scalable mobile applications, integrating APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using modern development frameworks and tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to implement new features and enhance existing applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure application stability and responsiveness.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve bugs to improve application performance and user experience.
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java for Android development.
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle build systems.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party library integration.
• Knowledge of MVVM/MVC architecture patterns.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and responsive layouts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, Room).
• Familiarity with Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Push Notifications).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
