Job Description

The successful candidate will be joining the Eurofins, PSS team at a client site to support physical characterization for pharmaceutical products.

Analytical Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Physical testing of samples to support pharmaceutical formulation development
Data processing, interpretation and documentation
Calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
Laboratory support activities including weekly eye-wash checks, shipping, and chemical inventory.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

A Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or other related discipline with a minimum of three (3) years of industrial experience OR a Master's Degree with at least one (1) year of industrial experience
Experience with physical characterization techniques such as Powder X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman) and/or microscopy
GMP experience is preferred
Experience with powder characterization techniques to measure particle size, powder flow, and surface area.
Experience with laboratory automation tools
Experience with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel)
Ability to multi-task and be self motivated
Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision

The position is full-time, first shift, Monday-Friday with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rahway, NJ are encouraged to apply.
