Analyst/Assistant: Core System COBOL

Experience: 7 - 15 Years

Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems or related field (Master’s preferred)

Location: Mysuru/ Bengaluru

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

We are seeking an experienced Core Systems Analyst with strong COBOL and iSeries/AS400 expertise. This role focuses on maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing mission-critical systems that support insurance products and internal operations.

• Test, maintain, and monitor core information systems
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications
• Coordinate installation of insurance products and program modifications
• Monitor system uptime, daily/monthly batch jobs, and error files
• Manage reporting and form changes, ensuring compliance alignment
• Support internal teams with policy, accounting, and claims inquiries
• Analyze business problems and recommend system improvements
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure requirement accuracy
• Contribute to architecture improvements for iSeries/AS400 environments
• Lead or participate in special projects to improve customer experience

• Strong COBOL development and debugging experience
• Hands-on expertise with iSeries/AS400 systems and architecture
• Software testing, system monitoring, and performance optimization
• Reporting and documentation management

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
