Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an EHS Assistant Sr to join our (Ashland LLC, Specialty ingredients G.P., ISP Chemicals, etc.) business at our Hyderabad Office. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Product Stewardship function. This position will report to the Manager – EHS Product Safety

EHS Assistant Sr Is Responsible For
- Responsible for Safety Data Sheet and label generation and maintenance.
- Participates in the screening of new raw materials and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Provides regulatory approval in the New Product Introduction (NPI), product extension.
- Responsible for handling customer SDS requests (MSDS mailbox)
- This role will provide regulatory support to both internal and external customers, contribute to development of new concepts, techniques, and standards and ongoing implementation and continuous improvement of product safety, hazard communication, and regulatory processes and system support.
- Provide metrics to manager monthly.
- Ability to work on tasks remotely with minimum day to day supervision.
- Ability to learn new technologies and apply those technologies to solve business problems.
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and oral.
- The ability to think logically and to be able to articulate ideas to the team.
- Graduate (Science – Chemical engineering, BSc Chemistry, B Pharma)
- 3+ years of experience in MSDS authoring
Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Should have good knowledge on Safety Data Sheets and Label Generation and Maintenance.
- SAP Workflow Approval.
- Product and Substance Data Management in SAP.
- Dangerous Goods Classification.
- Should have good communication skills to provide support to onsite and regional stake holders.
- Knowledge on GHS classification and chemical inventory regulations.
