Analyst / Associate – Regulatory & Approvals (Renewable Energy – C&I IPP)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on individual who understands the power sector regulatory landscape and is excited to build the approvals function from the ground up for a C&I renewable energy IPP.

This role is ideal for someone who has basic exposure to open access / power regulations and wants to take end-to-end ownership early in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and gradually take ownership of regulatory approvals for renewable energy projects
• Work on processes related to:
• Open Access (STOA/MTOA/LTOA)
• Grid connectivity & evacuation
• DISCOM / SLDC coordination
• Track and interpret regulations from Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) and State Commissions
• Coordinate with government bodies and follow up on applications
• Maintain trackers for approvals, timelines, and documentation
• Work closely with founders on project execution and deal closure

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–4 years of experience / internship exposure in:

Renewable energy / power sector / regulatory domain

• Basic understanding of:

Open access framework

Power sector ecosystem (DISCOMs, SLDC, etc.)

• Strong ownership mindset and willingness to figure things out independently
