Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Flight Operations Coordination:
    • Monitor flight schedules, arrivals, departures, and ensure on-time operations.
    • Coordinate with various departments, including ground handling, catering, and maintenance, to ensure seamless flight services.
    • Collaborate with flight crew and ground staff to address operational issues and maintain efficient flight turnarounds.
  • Passenger Services:
    • Assist passengers with inquiries, ticketing, and check-in procedures.
    • Handle passenger complaints and concerns, striving to provide resolution and maintain high customer satisfaction.
    • Oversee boarding processes and ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Act as a point of contact during emergency situations, coordinating with relevant authorities, crew, and support teams.
    • Execute emergency procedures as required, ensuring passenger safety and minimizing disruptions.
  • Communication:
    • Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams, crew members, and external partners to ensure accurate information dissemination.
    • Keep passengers informed about flight status, delays, and any changes in a professional manner.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare accurate and timely reports on flight operations, incidents, and passenger feedback.
    • Maintain records of flight movements, delays, and other relevant data for analysis and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Provide guidance and direction to duty officers and ground staff to ensure adherence to established procedures and standards.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting effective teamwork and continuous improvement.
Qualifications And Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in airline operations, ground handling, or customer service within the aviation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and make quick decisions in fast-paced situations.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for flight operations management.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.

Duty Supervisor - Doha Location

(Note: The Duty Supervisor role could be a senior position overseeing the Duty Officer team. If this is the case, the job description should reflect additional supervisory responsibilities.)

Position Overview: The Duty Supervisor at our Doha location plays a leadership role in overseeing airline flight operations and ensuring the efficient functioning of the Duty Officer team. This position involves supervisory responsibilities, requiring strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • All responsibilities of the Airline Duty Officer role, as mentioned above.
  • Supervise and mentor the Duty Officer team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate team schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex issues and provide resolution in line with company policies.
  • Collaborate with various departments and external partners to optimize flight operations and customer service.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the Duty Officer team to communicate updates, procedures, and goals.
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness during peak operational hours and emergency situations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and best practices.

Qualifications And Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
  • Substantial experience in airline operations, ground handling, or customer service within the aviation industry, with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for flight operations management.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
