About the Role:
We're looking for someone who can work closely with our technical lead to build Specter AI — a real product with real users and real deadlines. This role suits someone who takes ownership: given a half-built feature, you can understand the intent, make sound judgment calls, and see it through to a finished, working product.
On-Site Requirement:
This is a full-time, in-person role in Indore. We are not offering remote or hybrid arrangements. If you're not currently in Indore or unable to commit to relocating before your start date, please hold off on applying.
What You'll Do:
Work directly on Specter AI's core product — a WhatsApp-native middleware platform
Own features end-to-end on the MERN stack, from spec to shipped feature
Manage infrastructure including Docker, VPS, and queues (Redis/BullMQ)
Use Claude and other AI tools as a core part of your daily workflow
Make sound judgment calls on ambiguous problems and explain your reasoning
What We're Looking For:
2+ years of hands-on development experience with real, shipped work
Strong command of MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js
Working knowledge of Docker and VPS management
Experience with Redis and BullMQ for queues and background jobs
Solid AI/ML fundamentals plus hands-on experience building with Claude or similar tools
Strong problem-solving skills
Good to Have:
Prior startup experience
Exposure to vector databases
Working knowledge of AWS
Compensation: ₹20,000–₹40,000/month in hand, based on demonstrated skill from day one.
