As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.

Role Overview

Qualcomm is leveraging its expertise in hardware-accelerated AI to deliver powerful, energy‑efficient generative AI and computer vision workloads to the Edge. The Qualcomm Compute AISW team is developing several key technologies, including a comprehensive hardware and software stack for deep learning inference acceleration.

The team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI/ML Engineer to enable the latest state‑of‑the‑art (SOTA) models on Qualcomm Edge platforms.

Responsibilities / Job Description

• Very strong proficiency in C/C++/Python programming and algorithm development.
• Experience with at least one AI/ML framework such as TensorFlow, ONNX, or PyTorch.
• Windows development experience.
• Experience with embedded systems development or equivalent.
• Understanding of software development and debugging in embedded environments.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, and written).

• Understanding of processor architecture and system design fundamentals.
• Customer‑handling experience.
• Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team with multiple stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with AI/ML coursework.
