As a Principal AI Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in building and deploying state-of-the-art AI systems from scratch . You will own the full lifecycle of AI models , turning research breakthroughs into practical, scalable solutions that enhance cognitive wellness and optimize mental performance.? You will collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams , directly influencing the architecture, performance, and deployment of AI modules that enhance cognitive performance and operational outcomes .? ? What You?ll Do ? Architect & Build from Zero: Lead the design, development, and deployment of LLMs and cognitive AI modules from scratch, turning research prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems .? End-to-End LLM Development: Design, train, fine-tune, and deploy Large Language Models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face Transformers.? Edge & Private Deployments: Integrate LLMs for on-device, local, and private deployments using tools like Ollama, LangChain, LM Studio, or llama.cpp , optimized for performance, efficiency, and privacy .? Drive Cognitive Intelligence: Build systems that analyze focus, stress, and cognitive signals , delivering actionable insights that directly enhance human performance.? Lead NLP & Search Innovation: Own prompt engineering, embedding strategies, and vector search pipelines (FAISS, Qdrant, Weaviate) to enable intelligent, real-time decision-making .? Translate Research into Impact: Turn state-of-the-art AI and cognitive research into deployable systems that deliver measurable real-world outcomes .? Collaborate & Influence: Work cross-functionally to shape solutions, establish engineering standards, and drive operational excellence in every system you touch.? Stay Ahead: Maintain deep awareness of open-source and proprietary LLM ecosystems (e.g., Meta, OpenAI, Mistral) and leverage emerging tools to continuously enhance Basil Health?s AI capabilities.? Who You Are ? Must-Have: ? B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering from a top-tier institute (IIT, NIT, BITS).? 3?5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, deep learning, and LLM development.? Demonstrated success in building AI models from scratch and deploying end-to-end solutions .? Expertise with Transformers (GPT, LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon, Claude) and tools like Python, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Hugging Face, LangChain .? Deep understanding of NLP, attention mechanisms, and model fine-tuning .? Preferred: ? Experience with cognitive data, biosignals, or time-series analytics .? Deploying custom-trained LLMs on proprietary datasets .? Familiarity with RAG pipelines, multi-modal AI models, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).? Published research, patents, or open-source contributions in AI/ML.? Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills .? ? Why You Should Join ?
